WELCOME TO PROJECT HÓZHÓ
Project Hózhó is an educational arts initiative that teaches filmmaking and creative writing through engagement with the environment. Started by two college students, the program seeks to empower youth voices in Chinle, Arizona and develop in students the artistic skills necessary to make an impact on a larger scale. Daily workshops, nature excursions, and lectures from visiting professional artists will allow students to develop their artistic styles and channel inspiration in a focused and relaxed setting. With a focus on technology and storytelling, the program’s theme and main media will adapt over the years, along with Chinle. It is a living laboratory for memory.
